Job Description

We have an immediate need for a restructuring associate to join a top-tier national law firm in Restructuring, Insolvency, and Bankruptcy practice.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting pleadings, motions, and Chapter 11-related documents, including plans, acquisition, and financing documents.
• Conducting research on federal and state law issues, cross-border matters, and Chapter 15 proceedings.
• Assisting with discovery, litigation, and adversary proceedings in connection with contested matters.
• Drafting financing documents, pleadings, and acquisition agreements for restructuring cases.

Qualifications:

• At least two years of experience handling restructuring, bankruptcy, or insolvency matters.
• Strong academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Superb analytical and writing skills with the ability to think creatively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex legal advice effectively to clients and colleagues.
• Well-organized with the ability to prioritize assignments and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois. 
• A bankruptcy clerkship is preferred but not required.
