Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Events Assistant to join our dynamic events team. In this role, you will support the planning and execution of a variety of events, including conferences, workshops, and corporate functions. The ideal candidate is organised, enthusiastic about event planning, and eager to help create memorable experiences for attendees.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of events from conception to completion.
  • Help manage event logistics including venue selection, catering, transportation, and audiovisual needs.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure smooth operations during events.
  • Maintain event budgets and track expenses, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders throughout the planning process.
  • Create and distribute promotional materials, including invitations, programs, and event signage.
  • Assist with on-site event management, including setup, registration, and attendee support.
  • Gather feedback and assist in post-event evaluation to identify successes and areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to enhance event offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in event planning or hospitality is a plus.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and event planning software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with a passion for creating exceptional events.
