We are currently seeking a SAP Basis - Senior (Remote) to join our team in Toronto, Ontario (CA-ON), Canada (CA).

SAP Basis - Senior

As part of the SAP RISE initiative, work in a multi-country environment to mentor and guide SAP Basis team members in the resolution of challenges on SAP's S/4 platform

Role Requirements

• Work with existing Basis team to provide mentorship and guidance in supporting SAP RISE customers
• Address and resolve issues on SAP S/4 platform using industry standard procedures and practices
• Support team leadership in dealing with problem change management and escalation
• Provide effective communication to both team and end client

MUST HAVE skills

Technical Skills

1. Strong knowledge of IT Service Management, SAP Basis and SAP Applications
2. Hands-on experience with SAP Basis activities, SAP release version upgrades and infrastructure updates for cloud customers
   1. Good understanding of SAP Enterprise Cloud Services operations infrastructure, processes and automation tools like SPC, IC etc. is a plus
3. Working experience with SAP HEC, SAP S/4HANA or any other cloud solution.
4. Hands-on experience with infrastructure operations, network, interfaces and Load Balancer topics
5. Strong technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to form the big picture quickly before surmising a path to a solution

Soft Skills

1. Engineering graduate with minimum 10+ years of work experience as SAP technical consultant with 5+ years in customer facing role (consulting, IT support, IT services etc.)
2. Excellent customer focus / Networking / Relationship Building /Results-driven / Selforganized / Decision making
3. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
4. Understanding of escalation handling and procedures with customers while proactively working with internal teams towards arriving at a resolution
5. Experience in working with cross-cultural and cross-functional teams or individuals
6. Proficiency in English (Written and verbal), additional (local) languages are a plus/on top. E.g. Asian (Chinese, Korean and Japanese), European (German, French, Italian, Turkish, Portuguese, Russian) languages.

GOOD TO HAVE skills

Technical Skills

1. Cloud architecture and IT technical infrastructure know-how
2. Knowledge of/certification in one of Azure, AWS or GCP fundamentals
3. Experience with Migration, Upgrade projects esp. on S/4H Cloud.
4. Knowledge of Project Management Fundamentals, ITIL, Lean Fundamentals is a plus

Soft Skills/Requirements

1. Knowledge of Project Management Fundamentals, ITIL, Lean Fundamentals is a plus
2. Engineering graduate with minimum 12+ years of work experience as SAP technical consultant with 7+ years in customer facing role (consulting, IT support, IT services etc.)
